Opening under the renowned Surrey name, The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel, debuted today on the Upper East Side in New York City. This 16-story property marks Corinthia Hotels’ first venture in North America, owned by the Reuben Brothers and reimagined with Martin Brudnizki’s iconic design. 

The Surrey has been transformed into a high-end property with 70 guestrooms, 30 suites and 14 private residences and is the first New York location for the restaurant, Casa Tua. The Surrey is part of a new wave of luxury developments along Madison Avenue. Located on East 76th Street, the hotel’s facade has been restored to retain the history of the neighborhood and its architectural legacy. The London and New York-based design team, MBDS, crafted the hotel’s public spaces and guestrooms. The property features four signature theme suites inspired by Central Park’s iconic bridges: the Bethesda Grandeur Suite, Pine Bank Bridge Suite, Greywacke Heritage Suite and The Surrey Suite

Inspired by Bow Bridge, the 2-bedroom Surrey Suite spans 2,000 sq. ft. and features two ensuite bathrooms with double wash basins and soaking bathtubs, as well as separate walk-in rain showers. 

Casa Tua, NYC 

Casa Tua, the celebrated restaurant group founded by Miky and Leticia Grendene, debuts at The Surrey, A Corinthia Hotel, as its exclusive food and beverage partner, marking its first New York location. Designed by Italian architect Michele Bonan, known for his work on Casa Tua’s Miami, Paris and Aspen venues, the space highlights Italian craftsmanship through custom furniture and a curated art collection, creating an elegant, European-inspired atmosphere.

The menu, featuring fresh, premium ingredients and rooted in Italian and Mediterranean culinary traditions, offers cherished Casa Tua classics alongside New York exclusives.
