The Travel Corporation (TTC) has solidified its touring division’s leadership team with the permanent appointment of Simon Jones as CEO and Melissa DaSilva as Deputy CEO of TTC Tour Brands, effective April 3, 2025. DaSilva has served as interim CEO since October 2024 and is now transitioning to a permanent executive role.

“I am tremendously excited to be joining The Travel Corporation as the CEO of Touring. The Travel Corporation has an incredible track record of growth, delivering world-class travel experiences across a diverse range of brands and markets, backed by a clear commitment to be a responsible leader within travel,” said Simon Jones in a press statement.

Jones brings substantial hospitality industry experience to TTC, recently serving as CEO of Away Resorts, where he led a significant business turnaround through financial restructuring. His prior role as Managing Director of Premier Inn and Restaurants involved oversight of 33,000 employees across 1,300 operating units, during which time he drove revenue growth of nearly $1.25 billion and increased EBITDAR by $375 million to reach $3.375 billion and $1.375 billion, respectively.

TTC: “Pivotal Moment”

The appointment comes at what the company describes as a pivotal moment in its growth trajectory. DaSilva will continue managing all source markets in her expanded Deputy CEO role while maintaining a key leadership position within TTC Tour Brands. As President of TTC Tour Brands for North America, she delivered enhanced business practices, increased productivity and record profits.

“Melissa has been an exemplary leader throughout her interim appointment, guiding the Touring division with clarity and vision. Her permanent appointment reflects her outstanding contribution and the value she brings to the business. We’re also delighted to welcome Simon, whose directly aligned experience will be instrumental in driving the next phase of TTC’s success,” said Carl Leaver, Chairman of TTC, in a press statement.

“I am honored to continue serving TTC in my new role as Deputy CEO, Touring. I look forward to partnering with Simon and our dedicated team as we build on our achievements and drive forward innovative strategies for future growth,” said Melissa DaSilva in a press statement.

Jones’ official start date remains pending. To ensure leadership continuity throughout the transition period, DaSilva will continue as interim CEO until his arrival.
