Mainland Grenada largely escaped the effects of Hurricane Beryl with all hotels fully operational and major airlines having resumed service to the destination, but the hurricane  has severely impacted Grenada’s sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique as well as the northern part of mainland Grenada.

The hurricane has left many of the citizens of Carriacou and Petite Martinique and to the northern part of the island in urgent need of assistance. Homes have been destroyed, essential infrastructure has been damaged and countless lives have been disrupted. A statement from the Grenada Tourism Authority notes that donations “will play a crucial role in the relief, recovery and rebuilding efforts, helping to restore hope and stability to those affected.”

If you wish to donate to the Natural Disaster Fund for Grenada, you can make online transfers via the government of an online payment platform (www.pay.gov.gd).

“Your generosity will provide much-needed relief and support to our brothers and sisters in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique,” notes the Tourism Authority. They add, “Our focus remains on ensuring the safety and welfare of those affected by the hurricane and our heartfelt sympathies go out to family and friends at this difficult time.”
