A Destination Defined by Natural Beauty

Salterra offers 100 guestrooms and suites. The resort’s aesthetic is a blend of natural elements incorporating native wood, coral stone and sisal while floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive balconies ensure every guest enjoys the beauty of South Caicos from their room.

Salterra features The Spa at Salterra with eight treatment rooms, two couples’ suites and a multisensory aqua thermal circuit. The spa also features a salt sauna, steam room, aloe bar and a traditional hammam.

Culinary options at Salterra include six distinct dining venues:

  • Brine – The resort’s signature restaurant, featuring a 7-course tasting menu centered around salt, a key element of the region’s history.
  • Cobo Bar & Grill – Latin-inspired dishes paired with handcrafted cocktails, served beachside.
  • Regatta – British-Caribbean fusion cuisine served from a second-story terrace.
  • Sisal – A lobby bar offering small plates and cocktails with seasonal local ingredients.
  • Flamingo Cafe – A casual spot for house-made gelato, local fruit smoothies and expertly crafted espresso.
  • Jack & Jenny’s – A food truck serving a rotating selection of Caribbean-inspired street food.

Salterra is located near Admiral Cockburn Land & Sea National Park where guests can kayak, snorkel, scuba dive and experience bone fishing and seasonal whale watching. The resort also introduces Salt Discovery Experiences, where guests can learn about the island’s salt trade heritage while exploring local salinas and unique ecosystems.

“Salterra is more than just a resort; it’s a destination where elegance and the spirit of South Caicos intertwine. We are dedicated to providing guests with a journey that celebrates the island’s natural beauty and cultural richness while delivering the unmatched luxury The Luxury Collection is known for,” said Brian King, President of Marriott International’s Caribbean and Latin America region, in a press statement.

Beyond luxury, Salterra prioritizes eco-conscious hospitality with initiatives such as solar-powered energy solutions, industrial composting and desalinated seawater for drinking. The resort has also eliminated single-use plastics, providing guests with filtered water stations. Through partnerships with the Turks & Caicos Reef Fund and the School for Field Studies, the Coral Reef Restoration Program encourages guests to actively participate in preserving the region’s marine ecosystems.

“This is a place where luxury and sustainability coexist harmoniously. South Caicos’ untouched landscapes and cultural depth offer an extraordinary opportunity for travelers to reconnect with nature while indulging in world-class hospitality,” said Michael Tibbets, Managing Director of Salterra, in a press statement.
