Ascot Tours is hosting a South Africa FAM for golf lovers. This 11-day tour (Nov. 29 – Dec. 10, 2024) is designed to showcase the best of South Africa’s tourism offerings, both on and off the golf course.
The journey begins in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) where you will be greeted by a local representative and transferred to the Lalibela Game Reserve. For the first two nights, you’ll stay at Mark’s Camp, a safari lodge. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives led by knowledgeable rangers who will guide you through the reserve’s wildlife, including the Big 5, while also sharing insights into the region’s flora and fauna.
The trip continues along the scenic Garden Route to George, where you will check in at the Fancourt Hotel. Here, guests can play two rounds of golf at South Africa’s finest courses: The Links and Montagu Golf Course. After your rounds, enjoy gourmet dinners at the hotel’s top-rated restaurants, including La Cantina and the Club Lounge.
It’s off to Swellendam, with a stop at Mossel Bay for a round of golf at Pinnacle Point Golf Course, famed for its dramatic oceanfront views. That evening, relax at the charming Schoone Oordt Country House. The FAM then heads to Hermanus, staying at Arabella Hotel, Golf & Spa, for a round at Arabella Golf Club.
The final leg of the trip takes you to the breathtaking Cape Winelands, where you’ll stay at the Pearl Valley Hotel. Here, you’ll experience a round of golf at Pearl Valley Golf Course and indulge in a wine-tasting tour at Ernie Els Wines and Steenberg Estate.
Throughout the trip, there will be ample opportunities to explore local attractions, dine at fine restaurants and enjoy networking with local tourism professionals.
